The Academy is proud to highlight the members and volunteers who help advance the profession every day. Through our Academy Spotlight series, we recognize individuals making meaningful contributions to audiology through clinical care, research, leadership, education, and service.

Member Spotlight

Rose Buchbinder, AuD

Our Member Spotlight features Rose Buchbinder, AuD, owner of Rose Audiology. Dr. Buchbinder’s clinical interests include diagnostics, pediatrics, electrophysiology, and vestibular care. After years of training and experience in audiologist-owned practices, she recently launched her own private practice and is developing cochlear implant and vestibular programs to expand patient access to specialized care. She credits early involvement with the Academy—including attending conventions and presenting research as a student—for helping shape her professional path.

Volunteer Spotlight

Julie Jones, AuD

Our Volunteer Spotlight recognizes Julie Jones, AuD, clinical assistant professor at Indiana University. Dr. Jones spent nearly a decade in private practice before transitioning to academia. Through her volunteer work with the Academy, she enjoys mentoring students and connecting with colleagues across the profession while helping support the next generation of audiologists.

“I believe in advocating for the future of our profession and being involved with the Academy keeps me current on the hot topics in our field.”

The Academy’s strength comes from the dedication and engagement of its members and volunteers. The Academy Spotlight series celebrates the individuals whose work continues to move the profession forward.
