Over-the-Counter Hearing Aids: First-Year Review

Since the October 2022 availability of over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids, it has been difficult to precisely track unit sales. A few available reports suggest lackluster uptake by patients with hearing loss (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and YouGov, 2023; MedWatch, 2023; Strom, 2023).
