The American Academy of Audiology’s State Policy Advocate Network (SPAN) will hold its fourth-quarter meeting on October 28, 2026, from 8:00–9:00 pm ET. The meeting will focus on the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC).
The ASLP-IC facilitates interstate practice for audiologists and speech-language pathologists by creating a pathway for eligible professionals to practice across participating member states without obtaining a separate license in each state. The Q4 SPAN meeting topic will allow participants to learn more about the compact, discuss its implementation, and ask questions about what the ASLP-IC may mean for audiologists and state licensure.
Interested in Joining SPAN?
SPAN brings together representatives from state audiology associations and other audiology leaders to discuss state legislative and regulatory issues affecting the profession. If you are interested in participating in future SPAN meetings or would like to be added to the SPAN distribution list, please contact Michelle Moore at mmoore@audiology.org
