Researchers Cha and Wang (2023) explored injuries by adults that resulted in a limitation of person’s usual activities for a period of at least 24 hours. These authors used data from the 2020–2021 National Health Interview Survey. Their analyses revealed that almost six percent of adults had such an injury in the prior three months from the time of their interview.
Injury rates varied significantly by race/Hispanic origin, education, and geographic location, but not by sex, age, or family income. Interested readers may access the full report for details
