Christopher Spankovich
Bio
Christopher Spankovich, AuD, PhD, MPH, is a clinical audiologist and the vice chair of research for the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). He also serves as the director of the Doctor of Audiology Program at UMMC. His research program spans basic and epidemiological investigations into identifying and leveraging modifiable risk factors to mitigate susceptibility to acquired hearing loss and tinnitus. His clinical interests include advanced diagnostics, tinnitus and decreased sound tolerance evaluation and management, and hearing conservation. Dr. Spankovich is an associate editor for the International Journal of Audiology and recently completed service on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Audiology. He currently serves on the Board of the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education.
