The Academy was saddened to learn of the passing of Marjorie Jung, MS, a lifetime member of the Academy, and clinical audiologist known for her work in pediatric audiology. During her career, Ms. Jung authored several papers about otoacoustic emissions in children, developed videos of best practices for hearing testing in newborns, and was at the beginning of forming the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) in Connecticut, where she resided, and which is still active today.
Our condolences are with Ms. Jung’s family, and any donations can be made in her memory to the University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc. You can visit the Hartford Courant for her obituary and further information.
