Barbara Cone, PhD, passed away on January 4, 2025. A Regents’ Professor at the University of Arizona and a pioneer in audiology, Dr. Cone’s innovative research on auditory development and pediatric hearing assessment transformed the field, improving care for infants and children with hearing challenges worldwide.
A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Cone inspired countless students and professionals, sharing her expertise and passion for advancing evidence-based practices. Her groundbreaking work and commitment to the field earned her widespread respect and admiration.
