We are saddened to report the passing of Amy Popp, AuD, after a sudden cardiac arrest. A dedicated audiologist and 15-year Academy member, Dr. Popp was a pioneer in her field, starting her career at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, where she contributed to groundbreaking work in cochlear implants. Over her three-decade career, she helped countless individuals regain their hearing.
Dr. Popp earned her master’s in audiology from the Central Institute for the Deaf at Washington University in St. Louis, and later a clinical doctorate from Central Michigan University. Her professional journey led her to New York City and later Dallas.
Our condolences are with Dr. Popp’s family. Family and friends can donate by making checks payable to Raymond James and add “for Jillian Popp” in the memo line.
