Financial Support for Audiologists Facing Hardship
The American Academy of Audiology’s Member Support Program offers financial assistance to members facing personal or professional challenges. Its purpose is to help audiologists retain their membership and continue benefiting from the education, resources, and support that fuel their ongoing development.
Qualifying members receive a 30% discount on annual membership dues.
Who Qualifies for Support?
Academy members may be eligible for dues assistance if they are experiencing:
- Loss of employment
- Family leave
- Medical conditions preventing work
- Full‑time pursuit of a second doctoral degree
Members must also be in good standing and have maintained three consecutive years of paid membership.
How to Apply
Members can request assistance by emailing membership@audiology.org with a brief explanation of their situation. Each application is reviewed individually to determine eligibility. Providing false or inaccurate information violates the Academy’s Code of Ethics and may result in an ethics complaint.
A request must be submitted each year support is needed. Support may be used up to a maximum of five years total over a member’s lifetime.
EZ Pay Program
Members enrolled in the Monthly EZ Pay subscription plan are not eligible for the Member Support Program.
