What do you/did you love the most about your job?

Being in clinic, learning and growing my skills

What company or organization do you work for right now? If you’re retired, where did you last work?

Student at the University of the Pacific.

What’s a project you’re working on right now? Why is it meaningful to you?

Education to SHS students on communication with DHH patients. I want DHH patients to feel comfortable and confident when accessing healthcare and understand that their needs are not a burden.

How has your career benefited from being a member of the Academy?

I have been connected with so many amazing professionals and gotten so many amazing opportunities to make a name for myself and my future career.

Any tips or advice for new members on how to best leverage their Academy membership?

Attend any and all events and talk to anyone who will listen.

Best vacation you’ve ever been on?

Road trip along Highway One up to Oregon with my brother.

Who is your hero, and why?

My mom. She made me who I am today and is my number one supporter.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Ability to teleport so I could travel anywhere I want, whenever I want.
