What is your background in audiology?

I received my AuD from Central Michigan University in 1999 as part of the second graduating class. Go Chips! My professional experience includes working in private practice, hospital, and ENT group settings.

Why do you volunteer with the Academy?

I have always been encouraged to give back to the profession. I have served on numerous Academy committees, most more than once (ethics committee, learning labs planning committee, public relations committee and the awards and honors committee). I enjoy seeing the various ways the organization serves our field.

What is one thing that you can say volunteering has done for you and your personal success as an Audiologist?

It has allowed me to meet and connect with so many different people and so many different points of view.

What’s a food or drink you absolutely love?

Pizza. When I was young my mom let me work at a pizza shop to try and get me to hate it, but nope. Still love pizza.

Who would you choose as your dream dinner guest?

My mom. She passed 10 years ago and I really would just like to ask her opinions on things and hear her voice again.
