Legislative Advocacy
The Academy represents audiologists on Capitol Hill by monitoring legislation, engaging lawmakers, and mobilizing members to be effective advocates. We partner with national health care organizations to advance shared priorities, including the passage of legislation.
Legislation of Interest
Regulatory Engagement
The Academy shapes federal regulations that affect audiologists and their patients. We engage directly with key agencies—such as CMS, FDA, HHS, FCC, and NIH—to represent the profession’s interests and influence decisions. Guided by expert member committees and councils, we respond to emerging issues through strategic communication, public comments, and in-person advocacy.

Legislative & Regulatory Committee
The Legislative and Regulatory Committee (LRC) works to support the Academy’s public policy priorities. To do this, the committee identifies and analyzes federal and state issues impacting our members’ practice, assesses ongoing advocacy efforts, and develops strategies. By developing well-informed positions and decisions, the LRC strengthens audiology’s presence in policymaking but also drives forward initiatives that advance the practice.
If you are interested in serving on the LRC Committee, please visit the official committee page.
