Bio

Catherine V. Palmer, PhD, is a professor in the Departments of Communication Science and Disorders and Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh (UP) and serves as the director of audiology for the UP Medical Center Integrated Health System. Dr. Palmer examines the relationship between hearing, cognitive health and health outcomes, and matching technology to individual needs. She also is an Academy past president and currently the chair of the Academy’s Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Task Force.
