In support of Peer Review Week 2022 (September 19–23, 2022), the American Academy of Audiology invites you to help expand the voice of The Journal of the American Academy of Audiology (JAAA) by submitting a manuscript for publication in the journal.
Since 1990, JAAA has published essential articles and clinical reports in all areas of audiology, including audiological assessment, amplification, aural habilitation and rehabilitation, auditory electrophysiology, vestibular assessment, and hearing science. We hope you will take some time this week to begin, prepare, or finalize an article on your research or review work and submit it to the journal for publication.
Submission information, including links to instructions for authors and a direct link to the JAAA submission portal, can be found on the Academy website.
The journal, available online to all Academy members at no cost as a member benefit, is published 10 times a year by the Academy’s publishing partner, Thieme Medical Publishers. JAAA is also available by subscription to libraries and other institutions worldwide. Journal articles are published in multiple formats:
- Online as Author Accepted Manuscripts (AAM), in their originally submitted format, as soon as they are accepted for publication.
- Online in an eFirst version (published ahead of their assigned issue), as soon as they are copyedited and ready for publication.
- In a compiled issue, both online and in print.
As a JAAA author, you give the journal its voice—and your participation helps the publication share the profession’s top work in audiological research and best practices.
If you have questions about the submission process or other journal matters, please contact us. The journal’s editorial team looks forward to working with you soon!
