NEW! Monthly Installment Payment Option
Members can now enroll in EZ Pay to pay for membership dues over a period of time. Options include annual and monthly installments. To enroll, select "Save My Card" during the online check-out process and follow the prompts. For the paper renewal form, check the box under Payment Options. Any additional purchases made while renewing (eAudiology package, JAAA subscriptions, donations...) will be due in full at the time of purchase.

Payment of dues acknowledges that you agree to abide by the Code of Ethics of the American Academy of Audiology and that you still meet the requirements of membership as outlined in the Academy bylaws.

Member also consents to receive all electronic communications sent by the Academy unless expressly communicated to the Academy membership department. Communication preferences can also be updated by logging in to the member dashboard and going to "Update My Communication Preferences." 

If you are an EU, EEA, or Switzerland national, by renewing your membership and submitting your personal data, you are certifying you have read and understood the Academy's Data Usage and Privacy Statement and hereby agree to the terms.

Academy dues are non-refundable and subject to change annually. Refunds for overpayment or discounts applied after time of purchase will only be issued to the original payment method used when renewing membership.

How can I renew online?
Click on the 'Renew Online' link at the top of this web page and login to the member dashboard. An orange "Renew Dues" button will be visible near the top of your dashboard next to your profile picture. Click on the button and follow the prompts.

When are renewals due?
Membership runs on a calendar year. Renewals are paid annually by January 1.

Are my dues tax-deductible?
Dues and registry fees paid to the Academy may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses, subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. The Academy estimates that the nondeductible portion of your 2021 dues (excluding any other fees and payments) attributable to lobbying is 7%. Contributions to the Academy PAC are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.

If I renew by mail, how long does it take to process?
Renewals are processed within eight to ten business days of receipt.

Can I renew over the phone?
Yes, but only by using a credit card. Checks must be mailed in with an accompanying renewal form. Call 800-222-2336 to renew by phone.

I can't afford to pay full dues right now, what can I do?
The Academy wants to help you renew and maintain your membership. Members can now enroll in EZ Pay which offers a monthly installment option. To enroll, select "Save My Card" during online check out or check the box under Payment Method on the paper renewal form.

Do I get a discount for being enrolled in a doctoral program?
If you are enrolled in a distance learning AuD program, you are eligible to receive a $50 discount on dues for up to 3 years. You must submit proof of your enrollment. Proof may consist of a grade report or class schedule from your most recent semester. If you are enrolled in a full-time residential doctoral program, you are eligible to receive student pricing. To change your membership from Fellow to Fellow (Doctoral Candidate) and receive student pricing, please contact the membership department.

Can I add my yearly PAC contribution, ACAE contribution, and AAA Foundation Annual Fund gift to my membership renewal?
Yes, you will be given the option to add your contributions to your renewal invoice. NOTE: Corporate credit cards may not be used if making a contribution to the PAC.

When can I expect a new membership card?
The Academy does not send out a membership card annually. You can print a replacement card from your member dashboard and going to "Membership Card"

How can I be sure my online renewal went through?
When you renew online, a confirmation page will appear with a summary of your transaction(s) accompanied by a confirmation email. A copy of your receipt will also be available via your member dashboard under the "My Invoices" tab.

How do I qualify for Life Membership?
To be a Life Member you must be have been a member of the Academy for at least 30 years (does not have to be consecutive). If you believe you are eligible and would like to submit your name, please contact the membership department.

How do I qualify for Family Leave Membership?
To be a Family Leave member, you must be taking a complete leave of absence/sabbatical from work. The dues are 50% of Fellow dues ($165 for 2021). There is a five-year limit of being in this category. To request Family Leave membership please e-mail the membership department.

How do I qualify for Retired Membership?
To be a Retired Member you must by FULLY retired from the field of audiology. Dues are $60 for 2021 and benefits are limited to digital access only. If you would like to request Retired Membership please e-mail the membership department.

How do I qualify for Disabled Membership?
To qualify for Disabled membership you must submit documentation stating that your disability prevents you from working. Dues are calculated based on the percentage of hours you are able to work. For more information, contact the membership department.

How can I pay for the 2021 CE Registry?
As of 2010, the CE Registry is a benefit of membership.

Are CEU’s required to maintain membership in the Academy?
There are no CEU requirements to maintain membership in the Academy.
