General Information and Timeline

Each year, the Academy Nominations Committee requests nominations for the upcoming board term for president-elect and three member-at-large positions. From the submitted nominations, the committee develops a slate of candidates approved by the Academy Board of Directors to be presented to and voted upon by Academy members. The nominations and election cycle opens with a solicitation of nominations in the fall and continues through the voting period which takes place in July.

The Academy uses an electronic voting platform managed by AssociationVoting. At the time of the election, current eligible members per the Academy bylaws receive an email from AssociationVoting with a voting link and unique login information. Past unsubscribes from AssociationVoting communications or lapsed membership will preclude members from receiving voting emails.
