We’re gearing up for an unforgettable convention, and we’re excited to share what’s new in San Antonio! This year’s convention brings fresh programming, expanded learning formats, and new ways to connect with colleagues.

Below is a first look at what’s new—and what you won’t want to miss.

Educational Sessions

Vestibular Crash Course

Wednesday, April 22, 8:00–11:00 am

This three-hour crash course delivers a high-impact, evidence-based review of vestibular science through focused instruction, interactive cases, and rapid knowledge checks to boost participants’ clinical confidence and readiness for managing vestibular patients.

Beyond the Booth Series

Wednesday, April 22, 11:00 am–3:00 pm

The Academy is once again offering a series of professional development sessions at AAA 2026, held on Wednesday as part of our “Beyond the Booth” program. Join us for new sessions including Financial Wellness 101: What You Need to Know About Personal Finance (But Were Afraid to Ask), Emotional Influence: Using Storytelling to Change Outcomes and Motivate to Action, and Work/Life Balance: Building Personal Leadership Skills.

Amplify Your Value Track

Wednesday, April 22–Friday, April 24

The Amplify Your Value track provides audiologists and practice leaders with practical, hands-on business and communication strategies—delivered through multiple sessions—to strengthen financial insight, enhance operational effectiveness, and clearly demonstrate the value of audiologic care in a changing marketplace.

AAA Speaker’s Corner

Wednesday, April 22–Friday, April 24

Continue the conversation beyond the presentation in this interactive forum, where attendees can engage directly with Featured Session presenters for deeper discussion, follow-up questions, practical insights, and collaborative learning.

Frontiers in Audiology Research: Pediatrics and Implantable Devices

Thursday, April 23, 8:15–9:30 am and Friday, April 24, 4:15–5:30 pm

Get a first look at the discoveries shaping the future of hearing care. Expanded for AAA 2026, the Frontiers in Audiology Research series returns with two dynamic sessions designed to spark curiosity and inspire innovation across the profession.

Into the Tank: Research Edition

Thursday, April 23, 2:15–3:30 pm

This new, fast-paced event showcases innovative early-career and doctoral audiology research through 8-minute pitches with expert panel feedback, audience voting, and mentorship-driven dialogue.

Advocacy Ambassador Program

Wednesday, April 22–Friday, April 24

The inaugural AAA Advocacy Ambassador Program at AAA 2026 offers members a comprehensive leadership and advocacy training track that equips them to champion audiology at both state and national levels, culminating in a formal Ambassador recognition for those who complete the program.

Events and Activities

Alamo Group Tours ($)

Wednesday, April 22, 10:00 am and Saturday, April 25, 1:00 pm

Explore Texas history at your own pace with the Line in the Sand Experience, a self-guided Alamo tour featuring access to historic sites and an engaging audio guide narrated by Ray Benson, available during registration for $20 per ticket.

First-Time Attendee Orientation and Meet-Up

Wednesday, April 22, 10:45–11:30 am

This first-time attendee orientation features speed networking, interactive games, and insider tips from the 2026 Program Chair and Program Committee to help newcomers connect quickly and start the convention with confidence.

International Delegates Meet-Up

Wednesday, April 22, 3:00–4:00 pm

This year we’re introducing the newest speciality group networking meet-up, International Delegates. Our meet-ups give audiology professionals the chance to build meaningful connections, exchange ideas, and discover new opportunities.

AAA Foundation Fiesta ($) Revamped Format and Activities!

Thursday, April 23, 8:30-10:00 pm

Join us at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk for a fun, open-bar celebration supporting the AAA Foundation’s mission to advance audiology through research, education, and public awareness, with tickets serving as meaningful donations ($90 professionals/members; $35 students).

Morning Meditation: Reset, Recharge, and Refocus

Friday, April 24, 7:15– 7:45 am

Start your day with a calming, 15-minute guided meditation led by Dr. Sarah Wakefield, AuD, offering participants of all experience levels a chance to relax, refocus, and begin the convention feeling centered and refreshed.
