Charge Description

  • Cultivate a welcoming environment that values diversity of people and perspectives in approaching the activities of the committee
  • Promote inclusive practices and multicultural competencies in initiatives, programs and other activities
  • Cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness skills through training and
  • educational opportunities and resources
  • Designate a DEI advocate
  • Provide clinical and academic related resources for educational programs and members
  • Survey members on educational standards and present the information to the educational programs
  • Communicate and collaborate with CAPCSD, CAUDP, and academic programs
  • Monitor changes to higher education and provide the Academy with guidance on appropriate responses to anticipated changes
  • Represent and assist in the recruitment of the profession of audiology through the National Association for the Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP); and,
  • Include staff liaison and council chair in communications.
